I am currently at work on Projections. This series consists of work
made in
several photographic media: cyanotypes, black & white photograms,
35mm, 2 1/4, and 4x5 inch color.
The work is unified through its content, use of
metaphor and invention. Actual projections are made by me or found in the
real world, and are resolved in the appropriate above-mentioned photographic
media –both traditional and digital. The work is further unified by being
digitally printed.
Projections continues my long-standing interest in the home, domestic
objects and interiors. The vernacular mingled with the transcendent appeals
to me. The simplicity of the ordinary, everyday spaces, the things in my
home and the poetry continued within, continues to be the place from which
my artistic practice
evolves.
